Date & Time

Jean-Louis Dufresne Daniel Lamarre Georgina Bloomberg Peggy Dulany

An inspiring chat about the power of art to create real and positive change: how that idea was influenced by Cirque du Soleil, and how it became central to the One Drop Foundation in its mission to ensure sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene to the world’s most vulnerable communities.

Peggy Dulany, Founder & Chair of Synergos, is joined by Jean-Louis Dufresne, CEO of the One Drop Foundation, and Daniel Lamarre, CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, as they discuss art as part of the “shared DNA” of both the One Drop Foundation and Cirque du Soleil, and how art can go BEYOND water access, to encourage sustainable changes in behaviour that have a positive impact beyond what is provided by water infrastructure alone. This excerpt features clips from a Cirque du Soleil performance, and a talk given by philanthropist Georgina Bloomberg, who has recently joined the One Drop Foundation as an ambassador.

This discussion on ‘The Power of Art to Change Lives’ is an inspiring story of how collaboration and creativity can have a positive impact and can help turn water, and art, into action.
